This small bookcase is just the right size for a guest bedroom.  It hides an interesting adjustabl shelf mechanism as well.  Dovetailed support segments slide up and down female dovetail recesses cut in the back and the front supports.  In total, they are the length of the inside height of the bookcase less the thickness of the shelf so you can locate the self wherever you want it yet no shelf bracket holes show.  Untill you look very closely it appears the shelf is fixed.  Only you know it is adjustable to fit your needs.
