The door on this chest is bookmatched sycamore that was in the ocean for some time.  That floating around in salt water altered the colors and produced a unique pattern that in this case resembles the heart of an artichoke.  Behind the eye catching door hide all the ugly parts of a home security system.  You want the function of the security system but it is hard stuff to hide appropriately.  This chest does that in spades!
